Standard Rededication 2025
Every
year the Branch Standard is taken to St Nicholas Church on Newport,
Lincoln, to be re-dedicated and blessed. We have done this right from the
first year of the founding of the branch in 1976.
The service is organised and conducted by our Branch Padre, the Reverend Kate Mitchell, who is also a Royal Signals Veteran, assisted by Dr Maj (Retd) Neill Hepburn (RAMC), Reader at St Nicholas's.
After the service we retired to a local hostelry for a bite to eat, a drink and a bit of banter.

5. Our Memorial Book.
This is the names etc., of all our members who have died. It stays on this unique stand in St Nicks for any one to view. Read the notice below the table to see it's unique provenance.

9. Kate welcomes everyone and begins the service.

14. The Standard is handed back to the Bearer, who brings it forward to the rood screen.
16. Ben recites the Exhortation.
They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
17. The Last Post is played.
18. The Standard is dipped in homage to the fallen.
19. The Standard is dipped as the National Anthem is sung.
20. The end of the service and the Standard leads the clergy out.
