640 Signal Troop, Blandford Forum, Dorset

After finishing trade training at 24 Signal Regt one weeks leave at home then on to 640 Signal Troop at Blandford Forum in Dorset.

I was given a rail warrant to Blandford, but it appeared that some one had neglected to inform Movements that Dr Beeching had closed the station 2 years previously; the train terminated at Bournmouth!

Unfortunately these are the only two photo’s I have of the troop in the UK.
