This is a circular walk of about 6 miles. It starts at the Resevoir Car Park (Grid Ref SE21090048 - 53° 30' 2.5" N 1° 41' 0.7" W).
The path along side the water can be a bit muddy after a period of rain, so make sure you have appropriate footware.
There is a very steep bit to walk up, from the reservoir, up on to the moor (about 1:3), but it's worth the effort, for the view. There are no styles on the route, but there is a small ford to cross on stones.
There are no amenities, other than toilets, at the car park, but there is a pub with in a few minutes walk. There is also a cafe, which is across the very busy A616 road, which can be difficult to cross.
