This is a 3 mile walk along the River Ouse from York city centre to the Designer Outlet south of the city (off the A64), where we leave our car and use the Park & Ride bus into the city.
After wandering round the city we started our walk back from just above the Tower Gardens at Peckitt Street, down the South Esplanade to the Blue Bridge. Cross this and follow New Walk to the Millenium Bridge. The path is mettled up to the Millenium Bridge, then it changes to a normal country side track, which can be muddy in places if there's been rain or floods. Turn left after passing under the A64 to the B1222 (Naburn Lane). Turn right here and enter the Design Outlet just past the bus stop.
